The Bidar District Police Blog was launched today at the District Police Office, in the presence of the Superintendent of Police, and other District Police officials. The main idea behind the blog, is to deliver timely and authentic police information related not only to the law & order and crime events in the district but also regarding other police related events. Though the internet connectivity is not very high in Bidar district, with increasing connections we expect the readership of this blog to grow. We will slowly be adding some more features into the blog to make it a useful interface between the citizen and the police department. As we assume that most of the readers will be comfortable in reading blogs in Kannada, most blogs will be in Kannada font and for those who do not have the font, they may download the font from the links list on the right column of the blog page. With good support, suggestions and readership, we are sure the blog will be a successful venture.

- Bidar District Police
- With a history of more than a 100 years, the district police is headed by the District Superintendent of Police assisted by an Additional Supdt of Police and comprises of a District police Headquarter and District Armed reserve at Bidar City, and Civil Police staff spread over 28 police stations in the entire district. The 28 Police stations fall under 10 circles and 3 subdivisions of Bidar, Bhalki and Humnabad.
